If your Club has an event, function or project you wish to advertise throughout Districts 9465 and 9455 would you please let the eDigest editor (contact details at end of this Digest) know sometime ahead of the due date if possible.
The eDigest is published each Sunday to 1300 email addresses unless work or other commitments dictate otherwise.
If you have an advertisement ready that would be terrific, but a text entry is also accepted. Please send the text you want included, and don't forget to include dates, times and links to websites and booking sites that you have tested and work.

Give a Feed 2021 Launch
Nov 16, 2021 6:00 PM  - Nov 16, 2021 8:00 PM
Gloucester Park (Members' Stand)
3 Nelson Crescent
East Perth, WA Australia
We invite you to join us in launching 2021's "Give a Feed" campaign, with Aggie Przybylo from Foodbank WA. We hope to roar past the 25,000 hamper, $500,000 raised and 50,000 fed milestones this festive season.
In 2021 we aim to create 3,000 hampers - for families struggling to put Christmas meals on their tables.
The 2021 launch will be held at at Gloucester Park on the evening of Tuesday 16 November. Come for a casual a la carte meal from Steelo's from 6.00 pm (Bookings) ... and enjoy the twilight trotting. The meal and launch briefing (from 7.00 pm) will be held in Quinnys Room (with a quiet drink to celebrate).
The “Give A Feed” project provides Christmas food hampers, to vulnerable people, across WA, struggling to afford enough food to eat. Foodbank WA, helps bulk-buy produce and distribute the hampers. Bulk-buying means hampers with retail values two to three times the donation can be created.
Give a Feed involves "wholesale" generosity. Every club and member can participate and help promote this program in public, and across their business, professional and community networks.
It is a fantastic way of 'paying it forward' by encouraging corporate giving. It can be a great Christmas recognition of staff, customers, contractors and suppliers, family and friends.
We hope you can attend.

Life-changing, life-saving aid, essential for disaster-affected communities to start their own recovery. We’re asking you to help us continue our efforts by joining one of our Trek for Shelter adventures today!
When you sign up, you’ll join a team of other passionate ShelterBox supporters who will trek with you and we’ll give you all the guidance you’ll need to start your fundraising journey!
Which adventure will you choose?

Applications for RYLA (Rotary Youth Leadership Awards) for 2022 are open!
RYLA is an intensive eight-day program designed for 18-28 year olds with leadership potential and a commitment to community service. The program is a unique opportunity aimed to bring participants out of their comfort zone and challenge them to think outside the square while actively using and building on their existing skills and knowledge.
RYLA includes seminars, workshops, physical activities and team games relating to areas including Communication and Public Speaking, Leadership, Team Work and Group Dynamics, Problem Solving and Decision Making, Goal Setting, Time Management and Self Awareness and Emotional Intelligence.
All applications must include the name of their sponsoring Rotary Club, and we expect that applicants have contacted their local Rotary Club to arrange sponsorship prior to submitting the form.  The RYLA Committee will assist with this if necessary.
Applicants are interviewed prior to acceptance onto RYLA.  Successful applicants will have the energy, commitment and motivation to develop their leadership potential and be willing to challenge themselves physically and mentally over the course of the program.
Please note: Applicants who have come to us via a Rotary Club will receive priority acceptance onto the program.
RYLA is held at the Serpentine Camping Centre from Saturday 8th January – Saturday 15th January 2022.
Rotary Club Sponsorship for a RYLA participant is $870, and the participant contribution is $220.  This includes all activities, accommodation and meals for the week.
The application form is available online - https://forms.gle/aqPkGvVfPYBcZtq46 and a paper copy is attached to this email.
Please get your applications in by 30th November 2021.
To assist with our planning, it would be appreciated if you can let me know if you are planning on sending someone to RYLA.
If you have any questions, please contact me on 0402 491 139 or ryla@rotary9465.org.au.
